  • How much time will it take to finish a course and will I get a certificate of completion?

    The courses are designed to take 1.5 - 3 hours to complete. Courses vary in length and every student interacts with the courses differently. And yes! You will receive an official SubSchool certificate of completion for each course. It will have the name of the course, your name, the date that you completed the course.

  • Do I have to pay extra to access any of the SubSchool features?

    All of SubSchool's features are included with an employer's subscription. You can engage in all elements at your own pace - and you'll never be asked to pay more to participate in a program.

  • How do I register for SubSchool's self-paced courses?

    As a member of SubSchool, you were automatically enrolled in all of SubSchool's self-paced courses, and they should all appear on your Dashboard. If you are a member and you are only seeing one course on your dashboard, email [email protected] for support.

  • What is a small group class and how do I register?

    Live small group classes meet 3 times over the course of a month and explore different topics related to substitute teaching. They are a time to apply your learning and collaborate with peers. These classes are typically "drop-in," so you can attend one or more meetings. You can register by visiting the Live Events page, finding the class you want to join, and clicking the button to enroll.

  • What is a coaching session and how do I register?

    Coaching sessions are a space to discuss day-to-day successes and challenges. You'll be able to connect with other subs and get live feedback from experienced educators. Visit the Live Events page to see when coaching sessions are happening this month. Click the button to register.

  • What is a workshop and how do I register?

    Workshops are an opportunity to learn with experts in educational practices. You can find upcoming workshop offerings on the Live Events page, and click the button to register.

  • How can I reset my password?

    If you can't get into your account, click the small letters that read "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page. You will be prompted to enter the email address that you used to create your account, and you'll receive an email with reset instructions. If you haven't forgotten your password, but would like to change it, click on your name in the top right corner. You'll see a drop down menu, where you can click "My Account." On your "My Account" page, click the word "Password" on the far left. Then, you can enter a new password for yourself. If you're having any trouble, email [email protected] to request that your password be reset on the back end.

  • Can I get another copy of a completion certificate if I forgot to save it?

    Yes! Start by clicking on your name in the top right corner. You'll see a drop down menu, where you can click "My Account." On your "My Account" page, click the word "Certificates" on the far left. There, you can see and download any certificates that you have earned!

  • Can I access SubSchool from my cell phone?

    Yes! You can access SubSchool via your cell phone's web browser. When possible, we recommend using a tablet or computer, as some sections are better formatted on larger screens.
